Comp Tickets

Just a quick note as it seems people aren’t aware of this. Comp tickets are only free for the audience member, there is a printing charge which is passed onto the artist. I’ve had a few shows this week where people who were given comp tickets haven’t shown up. If you don’t show up not only do you miss out on a great show but you still cost the artist the printing charge. And worse, comp tickets are put on hold by Ticketek, which means they cannot be bought by anyone else. As Fringe Bar (and the other venues) have maximum capacities, if someone goes to book for a show that has ‘sold out’, and you don’t turn up with your comp ticket, you not only cost the artist the printing charge but they also lose out on that the full price ticket too.

So if your friend has given you a comp to their show and you find out you can’t make it, let them or the venue know so we can release those seats to others.
